Dario Fo’s famous Comic Mysteries explores several of the most sacred evangelical themes through a lens that is refreshingly novel. We see the miracles, tribulations and agonies of Christ’s life uncensored. Moments of cruelty become agonisingly real as the nails pierce his body, moments of irony hit home when a Jester flirts with the Grim Reaper, and inspired revelation reminds us of God’s divine purpose when Mary sees her son’s death in an image on a handkerchief. This play will enthral and entertain you, and ultimately bring you to the passion of the cross.
